Buyer & Cellar at Celebration Theatre

I am currently directing Buyer & Cellar by Jonathan Tollins at Celebration Theatre, LA’s oldest LGBTQ+ theater. I am thrilled to be developing this relationship with Celebration, under the helm of Artistic Director Ann James and Executive Director Christopher Maikish.

Alex More has a story to tell. A struggling actor in L.A., he takes a job working in the Malibu basement of a beloved megastar. One day, the Lady Herself comes downstairs to play. It feels like real bonding in the basement, but will their relationship ever make it upstairs? BUYER & CELLAR is an outrageous comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs.

This is a love story featuring the most unlikely of pairs. Mike is a delight in this role, and our design team is bringing you a gorgeous world worthy of the dame herself.
